Greywater treatment
Figure shown below depicts the water treatment setup that will be used for the accumulated greywater produced. The collected greywater will enter an electrocoagulation (EC) tank via an inlet pipe with a screen attached. Powered by electricity produced by solar panels, electrocoagulation will be performed based on the level of water in the tank. Suspended solids, emulsified oils, and other contaminants will be coagulated. The water will then pass-through filtration cartridges to remove the particles from the water. Afterward, an in-line UV system is utilized to disinfect the treated water. The final effluent will then be collected in an effluent tank where it will be ready for toilet flushing, car washing, solar panel cleaning and landscaping applications.
